We believe training can and should be fun for both dog and owner! Our reward based methods mean that your pooch will always know when he's done things right, whether he likes a treat, toy, or just a pat on the head. Consistency, repetition and lots of praise make up the core of our training practices. We strive to create happy dogs that are a pleasure to be around. Unruly dogs are a source of stress and conflict for many families, and having a well rounded companion can make a world of difference.
So, if you're at your wit's end and looking to turn your naughty four-legged friend into a model citizen, or even just looking to get your brand new pup off to the right start, we are here to help! ElaGant Acres offers group classes, certification for a variety of AKC titles, as well as private lessons.

The trainers at ElaGant Acres have years of experience as groomers, are part of a Canine Search and Rescue Team Grandpaws in Owenton Kentucky with our beautiful German shepherds, and are approved AKC evaluators. We have prepared many dogs for careers in service or therapy, and even more to be delightful family pets. ElaGant Acres does not discriminate based on breed, and have worked with a variety of breeds large and small.

ElaGant Acres is proud to offer a variety of classes that can help to shape your pooch into a model citizen through proper obedience training. Many of these classes are offered in a group setting where the dogs can interact, socialize, and play and believe this is an important part of the experience.

We also offer a variety of testing for different AKC titles.

Classes
S.T.A.R Puppy
The American Kennel Club's S.T.A.R Puppy Program is a basic training course that is designed to get new dogs and new dog owners off to a great start. The course is a positive and educational first step for both handler and puppy. This course is for dogs under the age of 1 year.

At ElaGant acres we offer a once per week 6 week training course as well as the test itself. For this program, all 6 classes must be attended.
​
The cost of the classes is $80 a dog.
​
On the day of the test, an additional $10 fee will be charged for supplies.

CGC Training & Testing
The American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizenship Program is a basic training course that equips dogs with the basic skills to be well behaved members of the community. The program welcomes both purebred and mixed breed dogs, and dogs of any age can participate.

At ElaGant acres we offer a once per week 6 week training course as well as the test itself.
​
The cost of the classes is $80 a dog.
​
On the day of the test, an additional $10 fee will be charged for supplies.
